CAT® tourniquet - bleeding control in combat/tactical situations. NSN 6515-01-521-7976. The most widespread simple tourniquet easily applicable with one hand. CAT® in crisis situations completely closes the blood flow in traumatic injury with severe bleeding. CAT uses a freely moving clamping system on the strap, which creates increased pressure around the entire circumference. After tightening the tourniquet, the clamping system is secured with Velcro to prevent release during the transport of the injured. The time of tourniquet application is recorded on the white field.
