The Lowa three-sided brush is the ideal tool for maintaining the optimal matte appearance of suede and nubuck footwear. It consists of four parts with different functions:
1) The brass wire brush is used on suede to remove stubborn stains and revive the surface. It is too coarse for nubuck, as it would leave scratches on it.
2) The nylon brush is suitable for both suede and nubuck. It ensures the removal of waxes and opens the porous structure of the leather. Compared to the brass brush, it is significantly gentler and more delicate when cleaning the surface.
3) The rubber brush made of raw rubber serves to finally restore the uniform matte appearance of the shoe's upper. It can also be used to matte shiny surfaces. If there are wax residues on the leather, these residues need to be removed first with the nylon brush.
4) The hard abrasive rubber (previously pumice was used) is used to remove the most stubborn stains by sanding a thin layer of leather. After sanding, impregnation should follow, and after drying, final treatment with the rubber brush made of raw rubber.
