Nexus Level IIIa Soft Armour is a highly durable ballistic panel designed for the DropDown Velcro Utility Pouch, which provides maximum protection with minimal weight. It is manufactured in the United Kingdom from SB51 Dyneema material with a density of 5.3 kg/m², making it one of the lightest and most effective solutions in its category. It meets the NIJ Level IIIa standard, meaning it stops projectiles from 9 mm pistols, submachine guns (e.g., MP5), as well as stronger calibers like .357 SIG and .44 Magnum. Thanks to its improved construction, it has a lower back face signature, which reduces the risk of injuries upon impact, and higher resistance to fragments from IEDs and grenades than standard NATO panels.
